We’ll use many different readings and videos in this course, in addition to some class slides made by myself and others, which I’ll post after each class 👇

Find below the materials we’ll use during class. They’re hyperlinked over in the 👉 but also available 👇. Class slides will be posted after each class.

Drop-in hours

Office hours, or drop-in hours, as I like to think of them, are designated times faculty members set aside each week specifically for students to visit. Here’s a great 3-minute video about them: vimeo.com/270014784. I encourage you to watch it.

Drop-in hours are your chance to come by and ask questions about the course material or college in general. These hours are most helpful if you have done some studying or attempted to solve a problem and discovering what you need help with before coming to my office. Then, when you come in with substantive and specific questions about course material, I can try to explain a different way to try solving it or help you work through a problem.

While drop-in typically do not require an appointment, a lot of students tend to meet with me. I strongly suggest booking a time in advance to ensure that we will be able to meet. You can check my availability each week and schedule a time to come in using the following link:

calendly.com/crabinatree. You can book any time listed there, even if it is outside my normal office hours. If no slots are available, please email me to figure out an alternate meeting time.

I make announcements via this course site, on the main page, Canvas, and in class. You are responsible for checking your Dartmouth email, this site, and Canvas for any notifications. I suggest turning on your Canvas email notifications for updates.
